hi there ladies! i hope you all had a great 4th of july weekend. it felt a bit like a mini vacation for me, which was absolutely amazing.
i ate the perfect american feast throughout the weekend which included fried chicken, hot dogs, pizza, pie, funfetti cupcakes, beer and watermelon. yummy! danny and allison's had a bbq at their house in pasadena then we went to the rose bowl for "americafest" to watch the fireworks. they were honestly amazing (but could you expect anything less at an event called americafest?). the weather was perfect this weekend so we had a beach day with some peeps on saturday, then had dinner with ashley and lee. (they are planning to move to colorado within the next year so that is kinda crazy). i also got to squeeze in some quality TV time over the long weekend watching ET, karate kid, californication and AFV. it was fab.
so far the summer has been great...starting off with a mexican vacation really helped. :) we have princess nyah's 4th birthday party coming up later this month and jerry and i are planning our california road trip that is scheduled in august. we're renting a car and driving up the coast staying in santa barbara, pismo, monterey bay then san fran. should be a lot of fun. something new and exciting. :)
besides that i've just been working constantly...literally. it's starting to get to me, but i'm trying to keep a positive attitude. positive polly! :)
jocelyn - a co-worker's bbq...that is good to hear! hopefully, you guys had a good time. ashley and lee say hello and hope you are well. jerry was just reminiscing about how much he loved joey's music collection just yesterday...oh, the good ole days. :)
jenny - i hope you are eating as much as possible...lucky. can't believe you are going to have a little one soon. are you going to find out the sex? actually, i need to check out your blog, you might have already covered this topic. i think it would be hard to not know...but i also think a surprise would be so fun! anyway, hope you are feeling good.
heather - i showed jerry the madonna inn and he laughed, hysterically laughed. :) so funny. not sure we're going to be hitting up the safari room on our california adventure, but maybe next time.
callie - hope you are staying cool in dallas...good thing you have sonic to quench your thirst. ever since you called jerry has been dying to go to sonic, but i have to convince him that we shouldn't go because of gas prices. he gets so angry with me. haha! miss you!!
alisha - cherrio! jerry and i were trying to plan a london vacation this summer but have decided to try to save some money instead so we're keeping it local. i'm so bummed because i want to see your world, but hopefully sometime soon. hope you guys are well and your keeping chris in check. haha!
amy - were in the world is carmen san diego? that is you. haha! hope you are having fun and class won't get in the way of your adventure. :)
hope you guys are all having a great summer. enjoy it!!
love you!

sounds like a great weekend.
madonna inn IS hilarious, that's what makes it so great. i haven't stayed there...YET...it's only a matter of time...
where did the mini apple pie come from?
yay what a fun post...and yes, we are finding out the sex in a little over two weeks- crazy!
My parents spent their wedding night at the Madonna Inn. Seriously. And, their twentieth anniversary.
I shake my head in disbelief.
Thanks for the message Cristie- love the Americana collage. It's a shame you guys wont be able to come out but totally understandable.
I'm in Japan at the moment-yay! Came here for work but am staying in Tokyo for a few extra days. Just got out of the outdoor hot spring and then massage chairs- this is the life.
See you...
