I'm married!

yes, that's right. i'm officially mrs. heather michaels. heath and i got married almost two weeks ago at greystone mansion in beverly hills - just the two of us, a photographer and an officiant. here are the details:

heath and i got ready at home. i went to dry bar and got my hair done, and went to sephora for a make-up consultation a few weeks earlier, so i did my own make-up...a little stressful, but now i'm not afraid of eyeshadow. we hired a car for the day and were lucky enough to have an awesome limo driver (daryl) to drive us around town. daryl picked us up at home around 10:30am and drove us over to greystone. heath and i had scouted the location a few times before and picked a spot to have our ceremony. we headed toward the spot (in the rose garden, next to a turtle pond) and exchanged vows & rings with a few kisses & tears. we then spent the next 45 mins or so walking around the grounds and taking the photos below.

when we were ready to head out we hopped back in the limo, popped open a bottle of cristal champagne and drove around town until arriving at lucques for lunch. we had an amazing lunch, even more champagne and cruised around town for a bit longer before ending up at home. later that night we were craving more deliciousness so we hopped in a cab over to osteria mozza for the best dinner i've ever had - ever. we had the best day and it was even better knowing we were heading out to orlando the next morning for none other than disneyworld!! :) we stayed at the animal kingdom lodge, with a room overlooking the savanna. at any point we could see giraffes, zebras, antelopes, etc. outside of our window. we visited each park, rode many rides, and even went to universal for a day (thanks to my cousin who comped us tickets). i couldn't go to orlando without seeing the wizarding world of harry potter :).

oh, and our puppy akira even had his own doggy vacation. the dog sitter decided to take him and the three other dogs she was sitting to santa barbara for 3 days. they went to the dog beach each day and akira had the time of his life playing in the waves and running on the beach (we saw video footage to prove it) :)

needless to say we had an amazing time over the past two weeks!!
our plan is to throw a party next year. i'll get back to you all with more details as they come together.

love
hb oops, i meant hm :)

jenny, i'm sorry you felt out of the loop. i wasn't very good at sharing details once we decided to get married. i'll be much better when it comes to the party/vow renewal. we're still figuring all of it out!
